Visit to Ottawa

Invited by the MP, Majid Jowhari, the three teams that qualified for international-level competitions plus a handful of volunteers from our organization, went to visit Ottawa on April 3, 2019. The three teams are going for FLL (members seen in the orange spacesuit), VEX EDR (members seen in black hoodies), and VEX IQ (members seen in orange t-shirts).

During our time at Ottawa, we were also able to meet the Minister of Science and Sport, Kirsty Duncan. She took some time to speak to all the members of the teams and the volunteers. We were also able to get a photo of her with the girls from the volunteers and while getting to know that she really support girls in STEAM.

Through this visit, our volunteers' effort and service were recognized and our teams were also wished good luck and received encouragement to do their best at the internationals.
